Who We Are

For years, Troop 85 has been a cornerstone of the Owosso community, providing a dynamic, boy-led program for young men. Our mission is to prepare them to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

We believe that the best way to learn is by doing. Our troop is guided by experienced adult leaders who mentor our scouts as they take on leadership roles, plan activities, and navigate the path to Eagle Scout.

Our Adventures

Camping & Hiking

We camp year-round! From weekend trips at local state parks to week-long summer camps, our scouts learn to appreciate and thrive in the great outdoors.

Skill Building

Scouts learn practical life skills, from first aid and cooking to knot-tying and woodworking, earning merit badges that can spark lifelong hobbies and careers.

Community Service

We are dedicated to giving back to Shiawassee County. Our scouts participate in service projects, conservation projects, and Eagle Scout projects that benefit our community.
